Marcus Foligno dropped the gloves and left John Hayden of the Blackhawks with blood running down his nose during the Wild’s 5-2 win in Chicago Thursday night.
But this wasn’t as simple as the new Wild tough guy pounding Hayden with some haymakers and uppercuts – Hayden got in hard right hand that buckled Foligno’s knees and left a nice mark on the left side of his face.
The Wild acquired Foligno, one of the league’s most respected tough guys, in the summer trade that sent Jason Pominville and Marco Scandella to Buffalo.
