Despite being sore, Minnesota Twins center fielder Wilkin Ramirez appears to be fine after colliding with left fielder Josh Willingham during Saturday’s 3-2 victory over the Tigers, the Pioneer Press reports.
“My whole body is sore,” Ramirez told the newspaper. “It feels like a car ran over me.”
Even though he cleared a concussion test after leaving the game in the sixth inning, the Twins decided to place him on the seven-day disabled list.
“Last night, I had a little headache but nothing bad,” Ramirez told the Pioneer Press Sunday. “Everything is fine. I did crash into him, but nothing like a concussion.”
The only part of the concussion test Ramirez failed was reciting the 12 months of the year in reverse order.
“I don’t know the months,” Ramirez said. “Forward or backward, English or Spanish.”
