Wild forward Ryan Hartman will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday for unsportsmanlike conduct for throwing his stick in the direction of an official during Saturday’s 2-1 overtime loss to the Las Vegas Golden Knights, according to The Athletic’s Michael Russo.
Ryan Hartman will have a hearing tomorrow for unsportsmanlike conduct for throwing his stick in direction of an official. He’s been suspended 3 times and last time in November, so he’s a repeat offender and will lose salary based on games vs days if suspended

According to Russo, that might mean the NHL intends to cut him a break because under rule 40.4, Category III, Hartman could have received an automatic three-game suspension for his act that came out of frustration over what Hartman deemed a missed call in the third period of Saturday’s game.
Hartman has been suspended thrice in his NHL career, the last coming on Nov. 26 for tripping Detroit Red Wings forward Alex DeBrincat. That was a two-game suspension.
If Hartman is suspended for his most recent incident, he will be considered a repeat offender by the NHL, according to Russo. That means Hartman will lose salary for each game he’s suspended based on the number of games versus days in a season.
