EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says Adrian Peterson will see more contact in practice today in attempt to see how his reconstructed knee is holding up ahead of Sunday’s season opener against Jacksonville.
Frazier, however, says defenders still won’t be allowed to tackle Peterson or hit him below the waist. Nevertheless, the coach told reporters “We’re going to try to give him as much as we can. We really want to put him through the paces.”
Peterson has sat out the 2012 preseason, and his availability against the Jaguars is still considered a “gametime decision.”
