It won’t happen during the upcoming NFL season, but the Green Bay Packers will eventually retire Brett Favre’s No. 4.
Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy told reporters Tuesday that Favre and the Packers are reconstructing a relationship that fell apart in 2008.
”We’re definitely going to retire his number. I really feel strongly that he deserves it,” Murphy said.
Murphy said the “timing has to be right,” but when that will be is anyone’s guess.
”I can’t tell you exactly what time might be right,” Murphy explained. ”But I am optimistic that you will see it.
