The next few weeks, perhaps months, will be filled with speculation about where Adrian Peterson will be playing in 2015.
So oddsmakers are making sure they get their say on the matter.
Online sports book Bovada released odds Thursday on where Peterson will be for Week 1 of the 2015 NFL season. The Vikings are still the favorite to have Peterson on the roster.
Bovada gives Minnesota 5-6 odds of retaining the 2012 NFL MVP. The Dallas Cowboys are second on the list at 9-4, followed by Indianapolis at 5-1. Arizona at 9-1 is next, while both San Diego and Tampa Bay are at 10-1.
Peterson is under contract with the Vikings through 2017. He is scheduled to make $12.75 million next season. According to ESPN’s Ben Goessling, Peterson is also likely to still make more money in Minnesota than anywhere else, so those factors make the Vikings the favorite.
Peterson met with Vikings general manager Rick Spielman and coach Mike Zimmer for four hours at his home in Houston Wednesday afternoon.

Last month he told ESPN that he was still “uneasy” about returning to the Vikings, given the way he felt the team handled the situation surrounding his indictment on child abuse charges in Texas.
Vikings officials in recent weeks have publicly stated that they’d like to have Peterson return next season.
