Ahead of the season opener Tuesday night, the Minnesota Lynx announced Wendell Epps as their new radio play-by-play announcer as the team will return to the airwaves for the first time since 2019.
Epps most recently served as the television announcer for NBA G League’s Osceola Magic. He also worked on all home and away radio broadcasts for the NBA’s Orlando Magic as well as producing and editing podcasts for the organization.
“I am very excited and humbled for this amazing opportunity to be joining a storied franchise at such a pivotal moment in WNBA history,” Epps said in a press release on the team’s website. “I look forward to being an energetic radio play-by-play voice for the Lynx and bringing high-level and engaging content to the Minnesota fanbase and organization.”
The Lynx will broadcast 20 regular season games on KFXN-FM 100.3 while all 40 games will stream exclusively on the iHeartRadio App and the Lynx App.
Minnesota is on the road for the season opener Tuesday night. The Lynx take on the Seattle Storm, tip off set for 9:00 p.m. CT.
