The Wolves kept their record above the .500 mark with a 101-97 win in Denver Thursday night. Kevin Love scored 12 points and grabbed 17 rebounds before leaving the game in the third quarter with a sprained finger. The Wolves are just the second team to beat the Nuggets in Denver this season.
Kevin Love gave fans a scare when he left the game in the third quarter with with a sprained finger on his right hand. He left the court holding his hand and was guided into the locker room by a trainer — so the immediate reaction was that Love had re-injured the hand he broke before the season. He did not return to the game. He finished with 12 points and 17 rebounds in just 24 minutes.
Ricky Rubio missed his second straight game but head coach Rick Adelman expects to have him back in the lineup Saturday night when the Wolves host Portland. Rubio hasn’t played because of back stiffness.
