Kirk Cousins can expose his bare chest in front of 65,000 screaming fans but spicy wings… that’s a no-go.
It really comes as no shock as nobody has ever put ‘spicy’ and ‘Kirk Cousins’ in the same sentence. In fact, the Vikings QB has done a masterful job of fostering a bland, suburban dad vibe.
So when the 35-year-old QB nursing a surgically repaired Achilles tendon admitted he has a low spice tolerance, not a soul in the world batted an eye. Well, honestly, we’re all probably a bit shocked by this revelation…
“Honey BBQ, can’t beat it,” Cousins told teammate K.J. Osborn when asked about his favorite wing flavor.
Cousins and Osborn appeared in a social media ad campaign for Target and Bounty (the paper towel brand) and they used chicken wings as the link between the two brands.
“I really can’t do spicy, so like honey BBQ is my ceiling,” Cousins said. “See, the honey BBQ sauce is already making my lips like a little bit on fire.”
If the veteran quarterback and the Vikings part ways this offseason, it’s probably best for his taste buds to avoid a team in the South.
