The Minnesota Twins have announced plans for TwinsFest 2016, which will take place Friday, Jan. 29 through Sunday, Jan. 31 at Target Field.
The Twins say the annual fan experience will include:
- Player autographs
- Twins yard sale
- Photo sessions
- Sports memorabilia
- Collector’s show
- Special panel discussions
- Self-guided clubhouse and ballpark tours
- Boardwalk-style amusements
Fans will also have the chance to take batting practice in the Twins batting cages. The boardwalk-style amusements allows fans to compete in a variety of games against current and former players.
New activities will include human foosball, giant Jenga and Twins Jeopardy.
Tickets go on sale Dec. 8 and cost $20 for adults and $10 for children 14 and younger.
By the time TwinsFest rolls around, center field will still be undergoing a massive makeover as the Twins roll out an improved fan experience in time for the start of the 2016 season.
The upper level of center field will feature a pub-style space called “Minnie & Paul’s.” It’ll be open to all fans while providing drink rails, a variety of seating options and food from local vendors.
Beneath Minnie & Paul’s, in the Mezzanine level will be “CATCH,” creatively named after Kirby Puckett’s famous catch against the Braves in the 1991 World Series. The all-inclusive area will be available on a game-by-game basis for about 120 season-ticket holders.
