The Atlanta Hawks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-113 on Saturday night, in Atlanta.
It is the second straight loss for the Wolves, who drop back below .500.
The Wolves can’t blame Kevin Love for the defeat, the Minnesota power forward put up 43 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in the game, and it still wasn’t enough.
The third quarter was the difference on Saturday, Atlanta outscored the Wolves 38-21 in the third to take an 86-75 lead.
The Associated Press says Minnesota fought back in the fourth cutting it three a couple of times, but each time the Hawks were able to stop the Wolves come back.
Kyle Korver led a balanced Hawks attack, he scored 24 points. Paul Millsap scored 20 and DeMarre Carroll and Jeff Teague each finished with 19.
