Adam Thielen’s record-breaking start to the 2018 season continued Sunday as he led the Vikings to a 27-17 victory over the Cardinals at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Thielen, who last week became the first player in NFL history (since the merger in 1970) with five straight 100-yard receiving games to start a season, made it six straight with 11 catches for 123 yards and a touchdown.

Kirk Cousins targeted Thielen on 15 of his 34 pass attempts. Cousins finished 24-of-34 for 233 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also ran for a touchdown and fumbled on a strip sack that Arizona’s Budda Baker scooped off the ground and returned for a touchdown.
Minnesota’s 30th-ranked rushing attack exploded for the first time this season. Latavius Murray, starting in place of Dalvin Cook, who missed his third game in the last four weeks because of a hamstring injury, ran for 155 yards and a touchdown.
As a team the Vikings totaled 195 rushing yards and averaged 6.1 yards per carry.
Minnesota improves to 3-2-1 on the season. They hit the road next Sunday to play the New York Jets.
