The odds to win the Stanley Cup have been released and the smart people in Las Vegas aren’t betting on the Minnesota Wild.
According to Bovada, the Wild have the third-worst odds of the 16 teams competing for Lord Stanley’s trophy.

Maybe the odds are a reflection of the Wild’s chances now that star defenseman Ryan Suter is out of the season with a broken ankle, but it’s still a slap in the face considering Minnesota has worse odds than six of the seven other Western Conference teams.

Minnesota’s record against those six (Nashville, Vegas, Winnipeg, Anaheim, Los Angeles, San Jose) was 11-5-4 during the regular season. Although, granted, the three of those five regulation losses were at the hands of first-round opponent, Winnipeg.
The Wild and Jets open with Game 1 Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Winnipeg.
