The Minnesota Wild are likely going to be without winger Jason Zucker the rest of the regular season.
The Pioneer Press reports Zucker’s knee injury has worsened after doctors tried to repair it in late February with what the Wild had called a “minor procedure.”
The Star Tribune’s Michael Russo reported that Zucker re-aggravated a knee injury that has kept him out since early February.

According to Russo, Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher said the injury will likely require additional surgery. The Wild placed Zucker on injured reserve following the Olympic break and he has remained there since.

Zucker declined to comment on the injury, according to the Pioneer Press. Instead he sent out a tweet:

He had high expectations for 2014 following the Wild’s opening-round playoff series against the Chicago Blackhawks, in which he played a big role.
But he failed to make the team to start the season, and didn’t really find a rhythm with the team until January. In 21 games with the Wild this season Zucker had four goals and one assist.
