Vikings coach Mike Zimmer thought they did some good things in their win on Sunday, but he knows there is a long way to go.
Zimmer told reporters Monday there are still a lot of areas for them to improve on despite their 34-6 victory in St. Louis to open the season. It is the largest margin of victory on the road for the Vikings since beating the Rams 38-10 in 2009.
Zimmer on his mentality after the first win. "I'm not being cautious, I'm being realistic. This is one game out of 16." #Vikings

“We have to keep grinding,” Zimmer said. “We have so many things we have to work on, so many areas, but we were a tough-minded, aggressive, tough football team.”
Zimmer added that he’s not worried about the Vikings exceeding the expectations of others.

“It’s so much about the process of how we accomplish these things, not so much about what the record is at this point in time,” Zimmer said.
- On the injury front Zimmer listed both defensive lineman Sharrif Floyd and cornerback Xavier Rhodes as day-to-day. Zimmer added that Josh Robinson, who intercepted Shaun Hill to set up the first touchdown, is “fine.”
