Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer hasn’t ruled out Teddy Bridgewater from playing in London.
Pro Football Talk reported on Monday that the team didn’t want to play Bridgewater because of the slippery field at Twickenham Stadium.
“There was a report too that said we didn’t want to play Teddy in London because of slippery field,” said Zimmer at his press conference on Monday afternoon. “That’s the first I heard of it; that report is false.”
When asked if Bridgewater will play, Zimmer said. “Maybe. We’ll see.”

“As one source explained it, the Vikings and Bridgewater definitely don’t want him to play next week in London, given the notoriously slippery surfaces of the soccer pitches that periodically transmogrify into gridirons.”
Bridgewater just returned to practice last week – he’s nearly 14 months removed from a catastrophic knee injury.
Zimmer also confirmed he believes Sam Bradford will make the trip to London. In Minnesota’s win over Baltimore on Sunday, Case Keenum and Kyle Sloter were the active quarterbacks.
So if Bradford indeed makes the trip and if the team won’t rule out Bridgewater, that means Minnesota could bring four quarterbacks to London.
The Vikings are scheduled to face the Cleveland Browns – who are still looking for their first win of the season, as they’re 0-7 in 2017.
