It seems like only yesterday we reported to you that Minnesota Wild star winger Zach Parise would miss 2-3 weeks with a foot contusion.
Matter of fact, after careful inspection, it was just yesterday that word came down from the Wild that Minnesota had gotten lucky on the injury to Parise. General manager Chuck Fletcher said he thought it would be 4-6 weeks.
18 hours later, Parise skated with the Wild in their morning walk-through, and steam was that he would play tonight against Phoenix. But head coach Mike Yeo dismissed that idea just after 11 a.m.
Yeo "stunned" to see Parise. It’s very encouraging. It’s a great example to everybody just how bad he wants to compete and help the #mnwild"

Despite his absence tonight, it would appear Parise will be back before that 2-3 week mark.
