It’s gone from bad to worse for Vance Worley.
The Twins’ opening day starter hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since being demoted to Class AAA Rochester in late May. His production at Rochester hasn’t been good enough to get him promoted back to the Twins, and now he’s on the disabled list.
Worley was placed on the 7-day DL Thursday with shoulder inflammation, according to the Pioneer Press.
The right-hander is 6-3 with a 3.88 ERA in nine starts at Rochester. He was 1-5 with a 7.21 ERA with the Twins before being demoted.
