It had been four seasons since Minnesota won in Memphis, but Sunday ended that drought, as the Wolves bested the Grizzlies 101-93 Sunday.
Kevin Love led all scorers with 30 points, while J.J. Barea added 15 off the bench for the Wolves.
Memphis point guard Mike Conley led Memphis with 28 before exiting the game late with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
The Wolves held a lead as great as 19 points in the first-half, but Memphis wouldn’t go quietly, cutting the deficit to one possession multiple times in the fourth-quarter.
But Minnesota would stave off Memphis attempts to steal the game late, led by Nikola Pekovic’ 12 final period points, part of his 19-point evening.
The Wolves improve to .500 on the month with the win, while Memphis has now lost five of their last six games.
Minnesota returns to the court Monday night against the Boston Celtics.
