The Timberwolves won for the first time in the Las Vegas Summer League, 80-71 over the Heat Tuesday afternoon.
Shabazz Muhammad, the No. 14 pick in the draft, shot 3-10 from the floor to score seven points.
The 21st pick in the draft, Gorgui Dieng, finished with six points and five rebounds in 13 minutes off the bench. It was a much more efficient effort than his zero point, five turnover game on Monday.
The Star Tribune reports that Dieng felt comfortable on the court for the first time this summer.
Former Illinois guard Brandon Paul led the Wolves with 13 points. He shot 3-6 from three.
