The Timberwolves were once again without luck in Tuesday night’s NBA Draft lottery in New York City.
Minnesota had a 1.7 percent chance to land the No. 1 pick in the June 27 NBA Draft, a 2 percent chance to get the No. 2 pick, and an 81.3 percent chance to stay at No. 9.
No. 9 is where they will stay. Minnesota also owns pick 26 in the first-round, as well as picks 52 and 59 in the second-round.
The Wolves’ lottery luck is lousy. No question about it. In 15 appearances in the lottery they have never moved up.
All-Star forward Kevin Love, who missed 68 games because of injuries last season, represented the Wolves at the lottery. Before the selection process began, Love told ESPN that he wants to “come out next year with a vengeance and have a great year.”
Love brought a Ricky Rubio doll for some luck, but it didn’t work.
