The Minnesota Timberwolves had not won a home game since Dec. 10, a span that included a 10-game losing streak on their own floor – one shy of a franchise record. But that all ended Wednesday night with a 110-98 victory over Boston.

Kevin Martin returned to the floor for Minnesota and the Wolves’ leading scorer made a big impact as his 21 points led seven players in double figures.
Zach LaVine, who started in place of Mo Williams, also had a big night. He overcame a few early turnovers to score 17 points, while dishing out six assists. Gorgui Dieng picked up another double-double finishing with 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 12 points.
Even newly acquired Wolves point guard Lorenzo Brown got in on the act. Brown finished with 11 points and showed off some nifty ball handling at times.

Jared Sullinger led the Celtics with 16. Marcus Thornton added 14 in the loss.
The Wolves (8-37) travel to Philadelphia for a Friday night game before returning home to face Kevin Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.
