The injury-ravaged Timberwolves, currently down to nine players, have signed veteran forwardJosh Howard to a one-year contract, according to the Star Tribune.
Howard, 32, played for Utah last season, where he averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds per game.
As Canis Hoopus explains, those might not be great numbers, but they’re no worse than the season Derrick Williams is having right now.
The Wolves, who play Golden State Friday night, won’t hesitate using Howard right away. Coach Rick Adelman says he plans to use him to back up Andrei Kirilenko for at least five minutes per half.
