After a tough loss Monday, one finalized by a NBA admission of fault on the last play of the game, Minnesota bounced back by taking the fight to the New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday in a 124-112 final.
Seven Wolves reached double figures, led by Nikola Pekovic’s 22 points, and Minnesota shot a blistering 56 percent from the floor to live up to their billing as the second-best offense in the league.
New Orleans was without a defensive answer all night, and offensively star center Anthony Davis was limited to just 13 points and six rebounds while Ryan Anderson led the Pelicans with 25 points.
New Orleans has now dropped six of their last nine games, while the Wolves appear to be turning a corner, as this win gives them three victories in their last four contests.
Minnesota back at it Saturday against the Thunder at Target Center.
