The Timberwolves’ four-game win streak came to an end with a 102-93 loss to the Orlando Magic Monday night. Minnesota led by 15 points midway through the third quarter, but was outscored 49-to-25 over the final 19 minutes of the game.
Kevin Love returned from the flu and scored 23 points to go along with 15 rebounds. Nikola Pekovic added a double-double of his own, with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Rick Rubio played in his second game of the season, but he wasn’t nearly as effective as he was Saturday against Dallas. He went scoreless with four assists and three turnovers in 16 minutes of action. He is not expected to play Tuesday night at Miami.
Glen “Big Baby” Davis led the Magic with 28 points.
