Minnesota Timberwolves 114
Memphis Grizzlies 108
The Minnesota Timberwolves picked up a road win in a place they rarely do. The Wolves beat the Grizzlies 114-108 Wednesday night in Memphis.
For Minnesota it’s just the second victory in Memphis in their last 13 tries.
1. LaVine keeps lighting it up
Another night in the starting lineup and another big game for Zach LaVine. LaVine knocked down six three-pointers and scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Wolves.
One of those was an incredible catch-and-shoot three from the corner.

2. Wolves build lead with 40 points in the first
The Wolves offense has kicked into high gear in recent weeks, but they haven’t had a first quarter like Wednesday’s in some time.
The Wolves scored 40 points in the first, and built a 20 point lead in the first half.
The Grizzlies made a run in the second half to keep it interesting, but the Wolves held on to the road win.
3. Towns, Rubio pick up double-doubles
While LaVine was lighting it up, both Karl-Anthony Towns and Ricky Rubio were taking care of the rest of it. Both had double-doubles Wednesday.
Towns finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Rubio chipped in with 15 points and 11 assists. For Rubio, that’s 28 assists in the last two games for Minnesota.
