The Minnesota Timberwolves have officially announced that they’re bringing back Chase Budinger, they confirmed on their Twitter account earlier today.

The Budinger signing seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle with all the other news the Wolves have been making during this free-agent period. Nevertheless, President of Basketball Operations Flip Saunders made it very clear that keeping Budinger around is important.
Via NBA.com when asked about the signing: “We made bringing back Chase a priority because of his shooting ability, athleticism and his familiarity with Coach Adelman’s system. We look forward to watching his continued development in a Wolves uniform.”
Budinger was acquired by the Wolves last year but missed 59 games recovering from surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus. In the 23 games Budinger did play, he averaged 9.4 points per game.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was previously reported that the contract is worth three years and $16 million.
