We have to be sounding like a broken record by now, but after dropping below .500 Wednesday with a close loss, the Wolves bounced back big in a 119-92 win over the Bobcats.
Wednesday’s loss dropped the Wolves to 0-8 when attempting to get back above even this year, but 26 points from Nikola Pekovic and a 20-point halftime lead left no doubt that the Wolves would once again reach even on the year.
The Wolves outrebounded Charlotte 54-33 on the night, and pounded the Bobcats inside, scoring 54 in the paint.
The Kevins (Love and Martin) added 19 each, while former Wolf Anthony Tolliver led Charlotte with 21 points.
Another former, more prominent member of Minnesota, the Bobcats $42 million man Al Jefferson, was held in check all night, putting up just eight points.
The Wolves will attempt to break their season-long curse of not being able to get back above .500 in San Antonio Sunday.
