Chicago Bulls 114
Minnesota Timberwolves 105
The Timberwolves have some work to do on defense, as they showed in the second game of the preseason, a 114-105 loss to the Chicago Bulls Saturday night in Winnipeg, part of the NBA’s Canada Series.
Minnesota was behind 34-16 after the first quarter and fell behind by as much as 22 points at one point in the game, according to the Star Tribune.
Rookie Tyus Jones led the Wolves in scoring with 18 points; he also had nine assists. Karl-Anthony Townes had a double-double, with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
It was a homecoming of sorts for Andrew Wiggins, who grew up in Ontario, Canada. He scored nine points in the game.
Ricky Rubio sat out the game with a sore quad muscle, and backup Andre Miller was excused from the game, the Star Tribune notes.
The Wolves will look for their first win Monday night in Toronto against the Raptors.
