Nikola Pekovic’s right-handed layup with 7.9 seconds to go would have given the Timberwolves the lead, but it fell off the rim and Golden State slipped out of Target Center with a 94-91 victory Wednesday night.
It was Golden State’s seventh straight victory at Target Center.
After Pekovic’s miss, the Wolves had one more chance to steal a win, when this happened.

Following the “hot potato play,” Golden State’s Steph Curry stepped to the line with 2.7 seconds remaining and calmly sank both free throws, pushing the Warriors’ lead to three.
The Wolves made a ferocious run to get back into the game as they trailed by double figures much of the second half, energizing the Target Center crowd in the closing moments, but still came up short.
