It’s a homecoming tonight for Timberwolves small forward Andrei Kirilenko.
It’s his first trip to Utah’s EnergySolutions Arena since leaving the Jazz two years ago as a free agent.
Kirilenko, who played in Utah for 10 years, tells Fox Sports Northit’s going to be a “special game.”
And after playing there for a decade, he tells the Star Tribune “I feel like I know every fan for the first 10 rows.”
The Wolves are in Utah tonight, and in Denver Thursday night for a quick two-game road trip.
Minnesota (14-13) is trying to snap a three-game road losing streak. To break it, they’ll have to win without Ricky Rubio, who stayed in the Twin Cities to get treatment on his sore back.
