The Timberwolves return to Target Center Friday night to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Rumors swirled around the idea that Ricky Rubio might make his season debut, but the team confirmed Friday afternoon that they were false:

However, Andrei Kirilenko will return to the lineup after missing four straight games for back spasms.

The Wolves are coming off a tough stretch on the road and have lost seven of their last 10 games.
The Cavaliers have also struggled without their two top scorers, losing their last three straight and 13 of 15.
Trade rumors surrounding Pau Gasol have resurfaced this week. ESPN reports Minnesota, along with the Toronto Raptors, have engaged the Lakers in trade discussions for the 32-year-old Spaniard.
The team also squashed those rumors.
#Twolves David Kahn says no truth to any trade rumors involving Lakers. Nothing imminent. Hasn't talked with them since the summer.
