The Timberwolves were two minutes away from their first winning streak of the season on Saturday night.
After picking up a big win over the Chicago Bulls this week they picked up right where they left off leading by 12 points over a red-hot Houston Rockets team that had won nine straight coming into play.
Unfortunately – as the Wolves have done all season – they could not close it out and allowed Houston to go on a 14-2 run in the final 2:10 sending the game to overtime with the Wolves falling 111-109.
Although it’s been a common theme this season, even the local beat reporters were in shock after the latest collapse.
Wolves lose 111-109 in overtime, you can't make this stuff up

Even for this team, this is hard to believe.

Maybe what’s more disappointing is that the team wasted an amazing performance from Karl-Anthony Towns who put up 41 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists.
He’s just the second player in team history to put up those numbers.
Karl-Anthony Towns is just the 2nd player in Timberwolves history to post a 40-point, 15-rebound, 5-assist game… https://t.co/7E6KbOTmiB

With the loss the Wolves are 7-19 on the season and are back in action on Dec. 19 against the Phoenix Suns.
