The 16-year-old basketball fan from Washington who adopted the Timberwolves as his favorite team will go to his first game at Target Center Friday night when the Wolves host the Orlando Magic.
A little background information on young Connor…
Washington doesn’t have an NBA team – RIP Seattle Supersonics – so Connor grabbed a pencil and wrote a letter to every team in the NBA asking for reasons why he should become their fan. Minnesota was the only team to write him back.
And now the Wolves are rewarding the faithful fan. FOX 9 says the Wolves flew Connor and his family to Minnesota where he’ll enjoy a day with the team, getting a chance to hang out on the floor during pre-game warmups, eat dinner in the media room and spend time with Zach LaVine at a basketball camp in Maple Grove on Saturday.
The Wolves are dead last in the Western Conference, but Connor will get an opportunity to see Andrew Wiggins continue his pursuit of the Rookie of the Year award.

Here’s the letter Wolves President Chris Wright sent back to Connor.
