The Timberwolves’ three-game winning streak came to an end with 103-101 overtime loss in Denver on Monday night. Kevin Love led Minnesota with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
Nikola Pekovic left the game in the second quarter with the sprained ankle. Prior to leaving, he scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Michael Beasley’s minutes increased after Pekovic’s injury. He scored 17 points off the bench in 33 minutes of playing time.
Ricky Rubio added 16 points and 5 assists.
Minnesota’s record now stands at 16-17. They play again Wednesday night in Utah before taking six days off for the All-Star break.
