Minnesota needed three things to happen Monday night in order to put an end to their miserable 13-year playoff drought.
- Wolves win at home over Memphis
- Spurs win over the Kings
- Denver loses to Portland
The Wolves beat the Grizzlies 113-94 and the Spurs rallied to top the Kings 98-85, but the Nuggets squeaked out a 88-82 win over Portland, keeping Minnesota’s playoff ticket at bay .
It sets the stage for an elimination game Wednesday night at Target Center between Minnesota and Denver. For sure, the winner goes to the playoffs, the loser’s season ends.
