Brandon Roy’s one-year stint with the Timberwolves will be his last.
Wolves president David Kahn confirmed to the Pioneer Press that Roy will not be back with the team next season.
Kahn knew that Roy’s chronic knee problems could impact his season, which it did — Roy played in just five games.
The Wolves signed Roy to a two-year, $10.4 million contract before the season. The second year of his deal is not guaranteed, so releasing him would free up about $5.3 million dollars.
