After the seven-game exhibition season, Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Brandon Roy remains healthy despite his surgically repaired knees. Roy told the Pioneer Press, “My goal was to play in all the games, even the back-to-backs, and I was able to do that. I wanted to get in shape and push my body. After all that, I feel really good.” The newspaper notes he averaged 21.3 minutes and 10.0 points.
Roy scored 19 points on Oct. 16 at Target Center against Israeli club Maccabi Haifa.
Last month, Roy said he plans on making an impact right away.
The 28-year-old three-time All-Star is returning to the NBA after his knee problems forced him to leave the game before the 2011-12 season. The Wolves signed Roy to a two-year deal in July.
