New Orleans Pelicans 109
Minnesota Timberwolves 144
The Minnesota Timberwolves picked a good night to leave Minnesota fans with a pleasant final memory of the 2015-16 season. The Wolves beat the New Orleans Pelicans 144-109 Wednesday night to close the season.
Looks like the Wolves will set season highs in points, field goals, three-pointers made and assists tonight. Already have treys and assists.

1. Wolves locked on in finale
It took a lot of the season, but the Timberwolves finished the season with quite a night shooting. They were 56-of-86 from the field, shooting 65 percent on the night.
They made a season-high 13 three pointers in the game.
2. Towns leaves a lasting impression
Karl-Anthony Towns had one more double-double for the season. He led the Wolves with 28 points and 14 rebounds.

Gorgui Dieng had a nice night for the Wolves. Like his partner inside, Dieng finished with a double-double. He was a model of efficiency, going 7-of-8 from the floor and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the stripe, scoring 20 points.
Dieng also added 11 boards and four assists on the night.
