Tyus Jones and the Timberwolves are playing for a championship against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night – and you can watch them battle for Summer League glory at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
On Sunday, Jones was named the MVP of the Las Vegas Summer League, where he’s guided the Wolves (4-3) all the way to the title game. Minnesota is the No. 24 seed – the lowest seed possible – and they’re taking on the No. 2-seeded, undefeated Bulls (6-0).
After scoring 29 points in the Wolves’ semifinal win over the Suns on Sunday, Jones is averaging 19.4 points, 6.3 assists and 4 rebounds per game.
“We want it bad,” Jones said Sunday on ESPN. “We came this far, we’re going to try to bring it all home.”
Jones has a minor wrist injury but it will not limit him in Monday’s title game.
