David Aldridge claims he isn’t high.
“No ma’am,” he said to the question “Are you high?” in his 24 questions previewing the NBA season for NBA.com. Aldridge picked the Timberwolves as the eight seed in the Western Conference.

- Oklahoma City

- Memphis
- Utah
- Minnesota
Yes, the Timberwolves added Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson to a lineup that still features Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. Oh, and don’t forget about Jeff Teague and Jamal Crawford adding a veteran presence at guard.
Actually, come to think of it, Crawford recently told us that he’s all but ready to guarantee the Wolves get a top-four seed in the Western Conference.
“I have no doubt we’ll be a top-four seed, it’s just about how the chemistry goes,” he said in September. “Sometimes that’s underrated. So guys have to feel each other out and everything, but I have no doubts about it with the character guys we have we’ll figure it out.”
Aldridge doesn’t explain his low seed for the Wolves, but it’s completely off the rock in terms of being in line with out projections.
FiveThirtyEight picked the Wolves as the five-seed in the West.
They’re the 7-seed in Sports Illustrated’s picks, and the five at Hoops Habit.
