With potentially the biggest regular season game in recent memory happening the same night another storm is expected to drop heavy, wet snow, the Minnesota Timberwolves are advising fans to arrive early to Friday night’s game.

In the midst of an incredibly tight playoff race, the Wolves host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at Target Center. Tip-off is slated for 7:10 p.m. and a packed stadium is expected.
Both teams sit a half game apart in the Western Conference standings with the Wolves holding a slight edge, having one more win than Los Angeles.
Eighth-place Minnesota has just five games remaining in the regular season while ninth-place Los Angeles has six games left on their schedule.
Compounding the strain on facility workers and fans is an impending snowstorm set to turn rain and thunderstorms into a snowy and icy mess beginning around 7 to 9 p.m. in the Twin Cities, according to Sven Sundgaard.
The metro area is expected to receive anywhere from 3 to 7 inches of snow, with a potential for 8 to 10 inches in isolated areas in the eastern and southeastern Minnesota, according to the latest models.
Target Center doors are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m.
