Even after a couple of days off the Minnesota Timberwolves were no match for the Washington Wizards, falling 104-98 at Target Center Wednesday night.
1. Washington’s bench big in victory
The Wolves, who have one of the most productive benches in the NBA this season, saw their reserves get overmatched Wednesday night. Minnesota’s bench was outscored 64-18.
Bradley Beal came off the bench to led all Wizards with 26 points. Minneapolis native Alan Anderson also played a big role, finishing with 18.
2. Wizards put together late run in third
Washington used an 8-0 run to finish the third quarter, breaking a 77-all tie to take an eight point lead into the fourth.

The Wizards stretched the run to 15-4 through the first four minutes of the fourth quarter and Minnesota was never able to come back.
3. Back-to-back big nights for Rubio
Ok, so it was Ricky Rubio tonight, not Marco Rubio, but the Wolves point guard seemed inspired. He finished the night with a team-high 22 points.
Rubio even hit a few tough shots in the game.

He also had six rebounds and three assists to go with the 22 points.
