MINNEAPOLIS –Los Angeles scored three runs in the seventh inning to pull away from the Twins en route to a 5-1 victory at Target Field.
C.J. Wilson, in his first start for the Angels, gave up three hits and one earned run through seven innings to get the victory.
Nick Blackburn, who gave up two runs in the first inning, at one point retired 15 consecutive Angels hitters before getting knocked out in the seventh inning.
Twins left fielder Josh Willingham hit his second homer of the season, and the first at Target Field this year. It was a solo shot in the third inning to make it 2-1 Angels at the time.
With the loss, the Twins fall to 0-4, their worst start to a regular season since 1981.
