Gophers basketball coach Tubby Smith told reporters on Tuesday that he’s “really worried” about senior forward Rodney Williams’ sore shoulder and he’ll be a game-time decision Wednesday at No. 18 Ohio State.
Even if Williams does play he won’t be in the starting lineup. Smith will start sophomore center Elliot Eliason in his place.
After losing seven of their last 10 games the Gophers’ chances to make the NCAA tournament seem to be dwindling. However, Minnesota is still getting quite a bit of respect from NCAA bracketologists. They’re seeded as high as a No. 5 in USA Today and as low as No. 8 by ESPN.
