Minnesota Wild 4
Winnipeg Jets 5
The Wild fought back from an early 5-1 deficit but couldn’t quite get a victory against the Jets in Winnipeg Sunday night as they lost 5-4. The Jets scored three goals in the first period and two more in the second, then held on as Minnesota scored three consecutive goals to close the gap.
1. Zucker scores a fast one
The Wild’s Jason Zucker scored the first goal of the game just 10 seconds in. It happened so fast that the clock operator for the TV broadcast hadn’t even pushed the “start” button yet.

2. Two more quick scores in the second
The Wild were down 5-1 early in the second, but they scored two goals just 38 seconds apart to close the gap to 5-3. The first by Mikko Koivu on a power play, followed shortly afterward by Justin Fontaine.

Zach Parise scored Minnesota’s fourth and final goal in the third period.
3. Goalie troubles
Starting goalie Darcy Kuemper was pulled after Drew Stafford scored the Jets’ fourth goal less than a minute into the second period. Devan Dubnyk came in but Stafford scored on him a few minutes later for his second of the night.
Dubnyk hurt his knee during the game, but said afterward it isn’t serious.
Dubnyk has a right knee injury, but he said even though it's sore, he's been told it can't get worse by playing "not structural" #mnwild
