Josh Harding’s tough season hit a new bump in the road when he was hospitalized over the weekend because of dehydration, the Star Tribune reports.
Harding became dehydrated during his second start with the Iowa Wild, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate. The report says the dehydration is related to Harding’s multiple sclerosis and he’ll remain sidelined until they find a solution to the problem. Harding got off to a terrific start in 2013 before complications from MS ended his season.
Harding missed the first two months of this season with a broken foot. He was making his second start for Iowa but had to leave Saturday’s game in Charlotte, North Carolina. He spent Saturday night and the majority of Sunday in the hospital.
Iowa (AHL) G Josh Harding made 19 saves and left the game after 2 periods with dehydration in the Wild's 2-1 loss to Charlotte on Saturday.
