The Minnesota Wild will have the No. 13 pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
Minnesota missed out on the playoffs, finishing with a 39-34-9 record this season Just bad enough to miss the postseason and just good enough to not have a shot at the No. 1 pick in the lottery.
The Wild had a narrow chance of moving up in the NHL Draft lottery Tuesday evening but ultimately ended up staying put at No. 13.
The NHL Draft takes place June 28-29 at the Las Vegas Sphere. This year’s draft has a number of high-end defensemen but at No. 13 the Wild are likely to miss out on the upper-echelon of those prospects.
Minnesota currently has six total picks, one pick in each of the first, second, fourth and sixth rounds, two in the fifth round and none in the third and seventh rounds.
