Win or go home. That’s the cliche reality the Minnesota Wild are staring in the face entering Game 5 at Dallas tonight.
“We’ve got them backed into a corner now, they are must wins,” Stars defenseman Jason Demers said Thursday, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The Wild trails the best-of-seven series against the Stars 3 games to 1 and they have to win Friday, Sunday and Tuesday to keep their season alive.

“It’s desperation; that’s what we need,” Erik Haula said, via Wild.com. “We need to play our best game of the series in Dallas then come back home.”
Haula led the Wild with six shots against the Stars in Game 4 and he’ll be a key player again in Game 5 considering Zach Parise and Thomas Vanek remain out with injuries.
Scary stat
Teams have trailed 3-1 in a best-of-seven series a total of 255 times and have come back to win the series 28 times, according to Wild beat writer Michael Russo.
It’s worth noting that the 2003 Wild did it twice.
