Now that he is healed from a groin injury that had kept him sidelined since March 5, the Minnesota Wild sent goalie Darcy Kuemper back to the Houston Aeros.
Kuemper, a rookie, started four games as Niklas Backstrom’s backup.
When Kuemper was hurt the Wild recalled goalie Matt Hackett, who will remain with the team as the primary backup goalie.
The Wild returns to action Thursday night in St. Paul against the Colorado Avalanche.
